This from The sports desk shows just home much bullshit is being put out there about the Socceroos win last night.

The Socceroos' achievement tonight is sure to go down in Australian sporting folklore alongside events such as Australia II's American Cup win in 1983, Cathy Freeman's 400 metre gold and, more recently, Makybe Diva's three Melbourne Cup wins.

Reading that you would assume they won the thing, not just scraped through to qualify on penalties....... Hardly convincing. Don't get me wrong I'm glad to see that they qualified, but Joe pull your head out of Guus's arse mate, because the "football"roos qualify for the World Cup is nothing compared to the other feats you mentioned.
