Jeff Jarvis over at BuzzMachine has a funny post on poor taxation policy.

If we're really going to improve the quality of life via fiscal policy, I say let's tax checkered flannel shirts, polyester suits, car alarms that make 20 obnoxious sounds and never turn off, Dr. Phil, mullets, Britney Spears CDs, bare-midriff tops over size 6, Speedos in any size, magnetic ribbons on the backs of cars in any color, Starbucks orders of more than four words, pop-up ads, tofu, PowerPoint, and gum.

Yeah it's witty but he makes a valid point, and I can just see J-Ho (John Howard) following closely in the US's foot steps as there seems to be no end to his endeavor to make OZ a carbon copy of America.

I want some developers there. Some "super users" like we were talking about last night.

I'm sure MS already has something in place like this, but don't you think you would achieve better results from the testing, if you had a more diverse range of users in Team 99 rather then mainly super users?

ok yeah they may be harder to find, and there probably not passionate about windows (mainly use it because there's no real alternative), but surly there must be some middle of the road users out there who blog and are willing to test Longhorn.

For example how many super users will complain about the file system interface? I'm guessing not many because they know it back to front, and know the power and the pitfalls of this system. But have you ever tried to explain explorer, files and folders to you mother? or had to explain where you Dads letter has disappeared to, because he is positive he saved it in word, but now it's not there. I'm positive others have had these painful moments.

Finally I've had some inspiration and decided to begin revamping the very badly done Wyong Water Polo Website.

I quickly knocked together this banner, there will be many more due thanks to ample supply of good photos from Mandy.

I'm Excited! 5 days to go...

Next week I'm off to Darwin for the Arafura Games. We fly out Friday for what will be a water polo/drinkathon event for all involved. Ok yeah there's other sports as well but who cares about them. ow yeah except Chris has asked me to check out the Sepaktakraw, which sounds like a networking technology to me, but apparently it's a sport. I will try to post something each day so stay tuned.
